A popular national park in sri lanka is the sinharaja forest Reserve ,translated to "kindom of the lion "in Sinhalese. at sinharaja you will find several take endemiv species of bird, inects, mammals, omphibins, butter fly, fish and reptiles. 🐦🦎🐟🐅

           

           sinharaja was dedicated as a natural world heritage site in 1998,by UNESO. the sinharaja forest Reserve is both a biodiversity hotspot and national park.
this area is mainly hilly virgin rainfores in the landscape. covering an area of 8 ,864 ha and raning from an attitude of 300-1176 meters, it consists of 6,092 ha of forest Reserve and 2,772 ha of proposed forest Reserve.  

         


      praining to both the south and worth this detailed malrix of waterways flow into the gin rivervial the Napola ,koskulana ganga and kuduwa gango on its northen boundary. 

      The site is large inaccessible wich was also crucial in preserving the site and preventing commercial logging activity. despite being only 21 km in size. it prized for its collection .of endemic species of plnts and animals.there are currently 26 endemic birds in sri lanka and 20(95%)of them occur in this forest Reserver.
          
    
 
                           Fanal endemism is also high, praticularartiy for mammals. birds & butterflies, exceeding 50% sinharaja has 130 endemicd plant species, sinharaja is the last remaining relatively undustrubed  remnant of tropical humid evergreen frest in Sri Lanka. 🏞🏞
