The bathik industry, wich highigthts Sri lankanness, can be considered an export industry in sri lanka. To day, the bathik industry is highly regarded and the batik industry is spread across virious parts of Sri Lanka. That is, large scale industry can be seen in many places such as kaduwela  ,kohuwela, and kurungele. Today, many batik design courses are offered for the convenience of many. this industry  wich started on a small scale as a self employment, can be described as a path that many have developed. Also, many young people have turned to this and it has become easier for them to learn about it through social media networks.

             Waxes used in bathik art

waxes are important for coloring batik designs.the follow wingtypes of waxes can be introduced.

you will need a wooden frame to draw the bathik and tool to draw the bathik. the brush also helps to apply wax. over a large area. 
        



           Normal water is this basic requirement for making bathik. caustic soda is also used as colur compound. Napthhalene can also be used to obtain different colors from the same dye  .hydro ,powder wine spraying also uses a chemical. 

        bathik creation are divided into different art forms, as a few bathik is adapeted to sult fabrics such as tie and dye, potion dye bathik and java bathik also, the unique bathik desings to sri lanka to the present day. bathik art is in high demand in the local market due to the various creation such as the dalada perehra, hansa puttuwe and athdala,Today there are many shopes de dicaled to obtaining the raw material for the creation of bathik.
