vesak poya is an important buddihist day. man who lived in  an informal era came to the right path with the establishment of buddihism. from time immemorial, people have been engaged in various rituals to celebrate vesak poya. even to day, buddists perform meritorious deeds for the vesak poya and make vesak decorations.

    The birth, enlightenment and attainment of promoting took place on this day. the birth of prince siddaratha took place in the lumbini sal uyana and the enlightenment of the Buddha took place at the beginning of the asatu bo ruka in buddagaya. 


      



















The definitive commentary on the enlightenment of the Buddha was received on the day of vesak poya. 
Also goddess yashodara, kanthaka ashwa,janna amathi and sri maha bodhi were all. born on the vesak poya day. 

        The third visit of the buddha to sri lanka also took place on this full moon day. also, is was on the full moon day of vesak that we sought definite explanations for the birth of the Bodhisattva sumedha oscetic and his enlightenment. also, on the arrival of prince vijaya in Ceylon, king dutu gemunu started the construction of the ruwanweli stupa on this day. 1999 vesak poya became a international holiday. 

        To day, buddihist perform meritorious deeds on the accession of vesak poya, and some people spend this day for their own enjoyment. as buddihist, is our responsibility to celebrate this triumvirate meaningful. 🙏🙏🙏
